The SynSMS architecture
More than a simple application, SynSMS is a complete set of pluggable modules that adjusts to your needs. The only indispensable module is the SynSMS Core, a windows service application that integrates all the other modules.
The Gateway Plug-ins are responsible for sending and receiving the SMS, being through a SMS modem (iTegno, Siemens or Z-text) or an Internet web service (for sending only).
The Interface Plug-ins generate the outgoing and process the incoming SMS. You may chose one or more proposed formulas or, if none of them fulfil your needs, we may develop a special solution for you. The currently available interface plug-ins are:
- Mail SMS: Easily send and receive SMS using your e-mail server. After configuring one or more mailboxes, every e-mail sent to these mailboxes will be converted into a SMS and every received SMS into an e-mail.
- Alert SMS: Alert SMS is an upgrade to the Mail SMS. Besides having the sames functionally of the Mail SMS, you can also alert a group of users by SMS when an e-mail is received.
- XML SMS: Allows integrating your existing information systems with the SynSMS through XML files. XML is an international standard for integrating applications and is supported by almost all development languages.
- ADO SMS (SMS via database): Analogous to the XML SMS, interacts directly to any database through the Microsoft ADO protocol.
- Finally the core may be accessed directly through the SOAP protocol (more know as Web Service) allowing your applications to send and process SMS on-the-fly.
